    SOUTH AFRICA: Successful Hunt

Just returned from a success buffalo and plains game hunt with RW Safaris of RSA , Limpopo province. Rick and Klarissa really outdid themselves. They are a Craig Boddington endorsed outfitter and I can also heartily endorse them. My wife and friends had a wonderful time.

Just returned from a very successful Buffalo and plains game hunt in RSA, Limpopo province with RW Safaris. Rick and Klarissa outdid themselves. I can heartily recommend them. They are also a Craig Boddington endorsed outfitter. Well earned and deserved. Rolly

Tim Sundles 4 shots of 600 NE into Buffalo

He among us who has never made a bad shot or two or three or four, please step to the front of the line and receive your accolades. In my own case, just this last April, I shot three times at standing hogs, in Texas, out of a blind and missed all three! 358 Win. , cast bullets, Model7. ( one...

    300 Win solids

If you reload There is no reason you can’t simply load a normal cup and core bullet backward into a case and shoot that bullet as a full metal jacketed slug for the tiny ten. Bullets loaded rearward in the case fly just fine when fired. And, in case you’re wondering, they don’t flip around mid...

    Elk guide recommendations

If going to Idaho, where I’ve lived for the past 40 years, I cannot recommend hunting deer or elk with Boulder Creek Outfitters. If you would like particulars private mail me.

Reloading can be dangerous and scary if you don't do it right

Many years ago (like 50 years) I had a box of bullets from a reliable manufacturer that was clearly labeled 7mm and .284 diameter. I loaded them for a friends 7mm Remington Mag and after the first shot, the bolt needed to be pounded open with a 2x4. It was stuck tight! I was confident in the...

    South Africa Land Grab

I have heard rumors about unrest in South Africa. The rumors revolve around RSA taking land from the current owners. Since I am planning on hunting dg there in July, this is of intense interest to me. Does anyone know what, if anything, is going on? Thanks Rolly

    New Custom .375 H&H

Not my idea of an African rifle. ymmv. Why the pic rail? Why a stock that seems to be built for long range targets? Why such a long barrel? Many questions here ?

Sellier & Bellot TXRG 150 gr. 7x57 use?

I use S&B 7x57 brass for my Ruger 275 Rigby. The factory rounds in 140 gr shoot quite well. The brass however is a bit out of spec. The head, for example won’t fit in RCBS shell holder. Plus the brass case head is a bit thinner than REM. Or Win. Brass. When I re-prime using my Lee priming...

    Wanted 275 Rigby brass

I haven’t checked lately but Huntington Die Specialties in California used to carry brass for 275 Rigby. Might give them a check.
