SCOTLAND: Stalking Red Hinds In The Highlands

Hi, great photos! Was this accompanied or unaccompanied stalking? I am looking for unaccompanied highland stag stalking. Any recommendations?

SOUTH AFRICA: Running Review Of Limpopo Safaris

Its been four and half years, so memory is kinda hazy and the details of the three trips are starting to melt into one big one. The hunt took place in the second week of July - the coldest period of the year in South Africa. I purpously select this time for two reasons, first for me hunting has...

SOUTH AFRICA: Running Review Of Limpopo Safaris

Wow! Has it really been four and a half years since I've been to Africa?? How time flies. Sorry to dig up this old thread. But I'm starting to get the itch again to go back to the Limpopo. I went three years in a row and then took a break, but I think 21 will be the year. I didnt do a report...

SOUTH AFRICA: Running Review Of Limpopo Safaris

I've chased them in the highlands of Scotland, and there, yes, the going is very tough for anybody. However, in continental Europe they live in flat woodland terrain, similar to Michigan whitetail habitat. Here are a few links to some of my stags...

SOUTH AFRICA: Running Review Of Limpopo Safaris

Day 2 On the second afternoon whilst cruising around in the Landcruiser, I spotted a nice Blue Wildebeest off to the side of the trail. I was pretty proud as the guide, Mias and the tracker have eyes like eagles and most of the time spot extremely difficult to see animals, then spend 5 minutes...

    Self-Guided Hunts In Africa

Maybe so...and Limpopo Safaris run a great operation! Yes, I definitely need to do more African hunting. Please note that I was only commenting on the typical PG "safaris" - not all African hunting. I am well aware that that there are more challenging hunts, and that was the purpose of this...

    Self-Guided Hunts In Africa

Please don't take it as a criticism, as its just an observation. Besides, not all hunts should involve a death climb to the top of the Himalayas to hunt some wild goat. An African PG safari, in my experience, is a very leisurely and pleasant hunt which can include the whole family. But...

    REPORT: Safari Taxidermy RSA Problems

No. I did not provided a delivery address. I did however list my registered legal address and telephone on the contact form along. I can only assume that they assumed that I wanted the trophies delivered to that address. In december of last year, I received an email from the shipping company...

    REPORT: Safari Taxidermy RSA Problems

One aspect that surprises (disregarding the whole wrong address issue) me is that they never even informed me of the cost of shipping before hand. Usually you get a quote, and if it is a bit high, you can shop around and get other quotes. But here, they just sent them and told me to pay the bill.

    REPORT: Safari Taxidermy RSA Problems

Hi All, I'd like to relate an issue that I am currently experiencing with Safari Taxidermy to get your input and advice. In 2014 I entrusted several trophies to Safari Taxidermy for mounting. On that day they asked me to fill out a card with various details, one of which was "home address". At...
