I have developed a good shooting load with 180 ABs with 4831SC. Most promising is 175 Fed Terminal Ascents with 4350. That’s printing sub .5” 3 shot groups mid 2900s. Need to longrange and large group test next.

I run a Resilient Ramblin Man on my 35 Whelen. I am very happy with it. The suppressor can be run in long and short configurations. In addition it has an R-Series end-cap. You can swap different caliber end caps, put on a suppressor brake etc,

I was thinking about chambering with a long free bore to use Berger 215s and not bury them in the case. But ended up deciding I didn’t want to single feed. In any event the barrel is accurate. Still in load development.

I like the steeper shoulder and 5% extra case capacity of the Ackley chamber. My barrel like 25 thou of jump for the 133s and 70 thou for the 145s. That touch more case capacity is seemingly helpful with the 145s. But then I have never had a 25-06 non-Ackley to compare it to.

I have always felt the same. The only thing with the standard 257 Wby in today's world with modern bullets you are leaving a lot on the table with its short freebore and 1/10 twist barrel. Today if I where to go standard Weatherby in a 257 I'd go with the 257 RPM. But seeing as OP is talking...

I would suggest 25-06AI. Go 7.5 twist barrel and throated out for the Berger 135s. You will be able to run all the new high BC 25 cal bullets. My hunting loads are the 133 EH Bergers at 3,250 and the 145 Black Holes at 3,025.

H4831SC. Barrel seems to prefer it over H1000. But I did not test H1000 with the 175s. Tested with Accubonds and Partitions. Assume everything holds up the accuracy of the TAs is definitely a big enough improvement over the ABs coupled with a better G7 I'll likely be going with the TAs. I...

Well that was an interesting trip to the range. Re-shot the 3 higher charge weight loads. The last 2 @ 2,919 and 2,936 avg printed one hole 3 shot groups. ES and SD were progressively better as well, 6 ES and 2.5 SD with the last group. No pressure signs. Going load up .5 gr and a 1 gr and see...
