    318 WR Build - Question

SkullKeeper, Love your rifle in 318 WR and appreciate your insights and experience with the cartridge. I have been on-again/off-again on deciding to pursue my own 318 WR project. Your post has provided inspiration but some questions for you, if I may: I have leaned toward having PacNor...

Vaal Rhebok Hunt | Eastern Cape

Don't fully understand the need for PM's on questions that are general in nature. Why can't there just be a dialogue on the thread itself? It seems like multiple members would like to know the same info, so post it here. If other arrangements need to be made, take the discussion to PM...

Vaal Rhebok Hunt | Eastern Cape

Hi Daniel, A couple of follow-up questions for you: What year is this offer available? What is the price of this hunt on a 1:1 basis?

Want To Buy 330 Dakota brass & dies

Think a 33 Nosler reamer would clean up a 330 Dakota chamber? Would love to keep the rifle I have as is but the struggle with brass is real. Just trying to take a more pragmatic approach to some of my rifle decisions over the years.

Want To Buy 330 Dakota brass & dies

Any details on what this would look like? Minimum quantity, lead time, pricing? Does Graf's manufacture brass or contact with someone like QC? Would consider participating as I have a 330 Dakota that has proven difficult to "feed".

    SENEGAL: Falémé's Inferno

DJ, Thanks again for the incredibly detailed report. Perhaps I missed it but why does the hunting season in Senegal fall during the warmest part of the year (Jan - April)?

    SENEGAL: Falémé's Inferno

DJ, Thank you so much for posting. I am following this thread very intently as I am fascinated with West Africa as a hunting destination. It seems like Benin, Burkina, and Ghana are not in play these days for any number of reasons so it is nice to hear that Senegal is open, especially to big...

    W. J. Jeffery .318 AE

In the early stages of planning a 318 project. It will be much more utilitarian in nature . Anyway, a couple of questions for you regarding the Northern Precision bonded bullets in .330": In examining them, they appear to be very similar in profile to the Woodleigh RN in the same caliber...

If money were no object, where would you hunt and why

I would spend a month (or more, as long as it would take) in the Caprivi and hunt all the species available there. DG and PG both but my focus would be on the exotic/unusual: roan, sable, tsessebe, sitatunga, lechwe, etc.

    "Ya can't eat the Horns!"

It is not Africa-related but I am obsessed with the "perruque" (wig) roe deer.

One more firearm...or are you done?

Always on the look-out for specific things that have eluded me so far. They are out there but it's just a matter of me blundering into them at the right time. Mainly it's cartridges but the platform matters too. A couple of things that do not help matters: Having a C&R license. Just...

Weatherby bolt rifles love them or hate them?

Pretty big fan of the Vanguards. One reason is, while attending CST, we used its twin, the Howa 1500 for our project rifles. I've liked them ever since and have around a half-dozen Howa/Vanguard in the safe. Have never really explored the Mark V. Would love a couple of the Weatherby Europa's...

Alpha grade bullets that SHOULD have made it but didn't

If you don't mind summarizing, what was the story behind GS Custom? I recall they tried to set up a US arm but it did not last. I picked up a couple of boxes of their 180 grain HP in .330" for a 318 Westley Richards build that has yet to materialize.

Alpha grade bullets that SHOULD have made it but didn't

I have referenced these in past threads but I would love to see both the Speer African Grand Slam and Barnes MRX reappear. Tungsten Rules!
