    New Lipseys M77 .35 Whelen

I have the lipseys African in 9.3x62, 280AI and now the 35. The 9.3 is scoped and I think that will be the next one to take the trip over with me. That one is dressed with a vari-x 3 I had on hand that was gloss. I'm not sure if this new scope will go on the 280 or 35. But yes, it has the gold...

    Gloss Black Scopes!

Many vintage firearms and even some new ones use a glossy black bluing on their barrels, problem is manufacturers nowadays don't manufacture scopes with a gloss black finish to match. Problem solved. A company selling a variety of scopes re-finishes them with Cerakote and gloss black is one of...

    Elephant Hunt

Oh, and unless I have been misinformed and things have recently changed, you might not want to consider Zimbabwe. They have been on the USFWS radar for awhile and importation into the US has not been possible for many years. Sure, they are exportable from Zim, but importable into the US, well...

Trusting A Wild Animal - And Nearly Killed By Him

Temperament and disposition are a known and accepted trait between dog breeds. Some are far better and some much worse than others.

Client jammed his bolt and couldn't cycle a shell into the chamber. You can see him try several times and even drops the rifle to look at what was going on.

Looks great! Now the trick is to find a gloss black scope to match the sheen of the barrel. I have a .280 AI African that I have been searching a scope for, but unfortunately I can only find used ones for sale.

In memoriam - Zimbabwe Professional Hunter killed by enraged buffalo

I was lucky enough to have spent some time with Digby...this was some very hard news to receive. It's been some years since I was last with him and his wife Vanessa, but you couldn't meet two better people who love and care more for the animals, people and the land they live on. I revered Digby...

Hard to determine if it's a good deal yet, but for anybody looking...it appears that there is a Lipsey's 9.3x62 Ruger African Hawkeye up for bid on GB right now. Pretty rare offering. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1012333137

    Tick bite fever

Tick bite fever is awful. I came down with it in Mozambique. The small tell-tale inflamed puss bubble that quickly turned black and formed into a pit was the dead giveaway. Then my lymph nodes in my crotch and one armpit swelled up to golf balls followed by fever, chills, extreme fatigue and...
