    No, the pin is absolutely not lost. But looking at other takedown photos it seems like there was a tab behind the pin that isn't there in mine.

    I'm asking for help from anyone with a 1903 takedown. I always have trouble getting the pin out on mine (I have to unscrew the two screws). Is there a small piece or something missing on the right pin? Thanks a lot.

    An interesting option for where the rifle was sold at the beginning of the last century: the importer's shop "J. GRAHAM & C. LTD INVERNESS" is engraved on the barrel. For an English red deer hunter, no scope! (it's not sporting!) only with iron sights.

    A truly exciting and unique topic. MS "Old ladies" have an unparalleled charm for me. I have three Mannlicher Schoenauer, two recent ones, an MC and an MCA in 270 and 6.5x68, and, my favorite, this one! a 1903 take- down with (optional) adjustable peep sight.
