I shot a Pronghorn couple of years ago. 200 yard shot straight through the heart with a 5.56mm Black Hills 77 gr. OTM. It ran 300 yards with a quarter of its heart blown off. Some shock effect would have prevented such a long run in my opinion. I think you need a balance of both for good...
