I can confirm this. My daughter shot a good muley at under 50 yards with the 101 LRX in the 25-06. Was likely still going around 3200 fps. I did not find the shank but found petals on the offside while processing. The buck ran a few yards, laid down and died.
I have been using the LRX in my 6mm-06 at just under 3400 FPS. No complaints at all with the farthest I can remember being a mule deer buck at around 400-425 yards. Was quartering away and went through the onside shoulder and exited the neck. Plenty of trauma.

Talked to a nice gal at Ruger. As long as I had a serial number that matches she could get me the parts I wanted. I happened to have had a few Alaskans through my business and provided one of those serial numbers so all good now.

I am looking for the insert for a Ruger M77 Rear sight that came off of a Ruger .416/.375 Alaskan or one of the newer Alaskan Bush Rifle. I have the base, just need the insert. Willing to buy the complete base if needed. If anyone has one collecting dust please let me know.
Thanks

Just getting into it for big game. Have taken a lot of small game and have used a handgun a couple times to “clean-up” some poorly hit mountain lions. As far as actually hunting with a handgun, finally got on the board this year with my BFR .454 on a nice Javelina.
Definitely put an extra...
Thanks for the tip on the load data from Parkwest. This barrel is a 1:10 so likely won't handle the 156s but did some shooting and it stablizes the 140 Hornady's Interlocks well. Need to find a calm morning to do some more shooting on paper.
