George Gibbs still makes rifles in the caliber .505 Gibbs and Norma produces excellent ammunition.
From Gibbs homepage:
We ,at present, have a good stock of 1930’s original Gibbs/Vickers barrels or we can supply modern British made barrels.
Rifles can be built to exactly copy the original...
Dont forget the socks!
I wear my well worn Courteneys with Merino wool socks, warm when its cold and cold when its warm outside. No plastic synthetic socks!
Hi,
Contact Piet Nel at the Southern African Wildlife College, located close to the Kingfishergate, inside the Greater Kruger NP. The SAWC offers a great range of courses.

Fantastic report!
I'm one of the Swedes that meet you in Harare. Stayed in the Pedza Camp, hunted with Len Taylor (exceptional PH) and shot a
elephant bull on my fourth day of the hunt.
Unfortunately, Norma has never made the .450/.400 3" ammo, neither the 3 1/4".
What I need is some Hornady .450/.400 3 1/4" cases to keep my Webley & Scott alive and shooting. Any ideas where to find 50-100 Hornady cases in this caliber?
I would also go for a .470 N. E. If there would be a shortage, we'll that has already happened, the .470 would be the first cartridge being produced in numbers by Kynoch, Norma, Hornsey and Federal. I think its also possible to make .470 brass from .500 brass if one come in an emergency situation.
