I just love those books on jaguar hunting in Mato Graso. It has to among the worlds toughest hunting and extremely exciting. That jungle country down there and the people that live down there are amazing. I just finished these two.

Yeah, I dropped a moose in his tracks at 275 yards with 400 grain TSX from my 416 Remington, one shot. I am confident to 300 yards, beyond that velocity starts getting to low for proper expansion

The H&H is good to 300 yards no problem, what more could you need and so is the 416 Remington with 350 or 400 grain bullets

If you want more stopping power for Africa, more velocity is not your best option. Shoot a heavier bullet at 24-2450 fps. Get a 416 Remington and shoot 400 grain bullets and your problems are over

I like those Alaskan 375 and 338 and I also have a 30/06 Alaskan, I think you should keep it and play with it for awhile before selling, they are such a great handling rifle. JMHO

Bolt and extractor are knureled , I picked out an upgraded stock blank, it should be a beautiful rifle. Threaded muzzle.

How can you say the Rigby 416 has less felt recoil the the 416 Rem when it burns considerably more powder and if you have read the recoil charts in Kevin Robertson's Perfect Shot book, you will see that is not true. As for the guys at Parkwest, they are a great bunch of guys, but my experience...
