The Winchester is a much smoother and nicer rifle, Ruger doesn't hold a candel to it. MHO

Yes, I have a safari but I like the Alaskan much better because of the barrel profile, 7 ½ pounds slick and 9 pounds with a heavy scope on it, just right for a 375 IMHO

Trigger is good now that I put in the Mcarbo trigger springs. The center hole in the bullseye is from another group , the three shots are in the top 2 holes with 2 thru the hole on the left

I don't see how bedding the barrel shank can cause any pinching and I did nothing to the recoil lug area as it was already bedded from the factory

I strongly disagree, this is the second rifle that I have bedded an inch and a half in front of the recoil lug and in both case I went from 1 ½ groups to well under an inch. My Kimber Caprivi 416 is bedded this way from the factory and it too is a good shooter.

Thanks for considering, but I already have to many 300 win brass on hand to buy more unless it is a deal I can't refuse. $100 is all I would want to spend for more brass. Thanks George

I also bought an Alaskan in 338, but I have not had a chance to scope it and try it out yet, but I really like it, I hope it shoots as good as my 375 Alaskan does.

It seems to prefer 300 gr, I shot some 270gr and they will only group 1 ½ at 100 yards, also tried some Sierra 285 gr grand slams and they only group ⅞ ". So as far as I am concerned, I prefer the 300 gr TSX anyway and yes I agree, I don't need anymore LD as far as 300 gr loads go. Overall I am...
