I was able to get Jon Wilson from Double Nickle Taxidermy on the phone while I was there and he sent me instructions for the measurements and photos he would need. My Botswana ivory is going to him this week to build wall mount brackets. He has done some great work with custom ivory mounts.

We saw several different gorilla in the road over the 14 days, two big males were sighted. This one stood for a picture.

My first safari in the forest so no personal experience but everyone in the camps confirmed what you're saying about the drought. We had only 2-3 good rains the 14 days I was there, very few animals moving. Salt licks dry almost everywhere.
Well, I still owe this community several full hunt reports; big ivory, old lions, and enough unfinished stories to make me look either busy or unreliable. Probably both.
