I've used Barnes in my Krieghoff with no issues along with CEB solids. I've also used Hornady and Woodleigh. Although the Woodleighs shot very well I was less than impressed with their performance on game that I shot with them.

On my second trip to Africa, hunting in the Limpopo, I took my longbow as well. Mine was also a 64 inch bow but pulled 65 lbs. at 27 inches. I was using Goldtip Traditional carbon arrows with 145 grain Magnus Journeyman broadheads. Shot a couple of Impala, and a Nyala with it. No problem...
Good shot on the gopher grizzly. Were you using the raptors with the tips installed or as a hollow point? Would the second round have been a solid if needed?
