Defintley not a need at all, just a want. I have just about everything imaginable from 22 Hornet to 300 Win mag. I enjoy tinkering and loading and wanting a new project to play around with and have nothing 33 or 35 caliber. Again its a want and not a "need" for sure.
I currently jump from 300 Win mag to 375 Ruger and am wanting to bridge the gap between the two. I am in possession of an “extra” Ruger M77 MK II in 270 Winchester and wanting to have it re-barreled to either 338-06 or 35 Whelen. I reload therefore ammo isn’t of any concern. I am leaning towards...
This may sound like a simple question, but I have yet to master this. When I carry my rifle on my shoulder I constantly must readjust as it feels like, no it is always slipping and sliding off my shoulder. What is the proper sling adjustment and technique to successfully caring your rifle on...
Thank you guys for all of the input, it provided me with hours of reading and research. Over the last 5 years or so I have all but given up on attending gun shows. Not much there anymore unless you are an AR or pistol guy, never much at all in the line of rifles or shotguns that catch my eye...
No, definently not getting rid of my Zeiss and Leupolds. Looking to rescope; removing various older Weaver, Tasco and Redfield scopes with not so clear glass and poor btightness compared to todays scopes.
I have several rifles that I am looking to upgrade optics on, traditional wood/blued steel hunting rifles. I have multiple Zeiss and Leupold scopes, love them and have served me well. The fact is that I can not afford the investment to go the Leupold/Zeiss route at this time. I know that...
I don’t see or read much at all about Burris scopes or optics on the forum. Swarovski, Zeiss, and Leupold seem to get the most recognition and set the “Gold Standard” in optics. Anyone have anything to share about your experience using Burris optics?
Of the two variations of Weatherby rifles; Mark V and Vanguard. Which is your favorite, which is your least favorite and why? Understanding that they are two very different actions and both offered in Weatherby Magnum rounds and standard caliber rounds.
Of the three variations of the Ruger model M77; Tang Safety, MKII or Hawkeye. Which is your favorite, which is your least favorite and why? Also is there any another factory rifle at the Ruger price point aside from the various versions on the Winchester model 70 controlled round feed that would...
Thread resurrection from the newbie/first timer……
Understanding the 11-pound ammo restrictions.
Question is could you have multiple (3) locked ammo boxes each under the 11-pound limit in one checked Pelican air case? Or does each locked 11-pound locked ammo box have to be in a different checked...
I have read countless hours about proper rifle fit and the effect on felt recoil. I am an accomplished shotgun shooter; spent many years as a shotgun shooting sports instructor for a local 4-H team and still shoot about 5000 rounds of sporting clays per year. That said I completely understand...
