It is a very good thing you saw that rifle first! Otherwise it would be you sitting and lamenting the fact that you didn’t check yesterday often enough! I as well would not have even blinked at the price.
I have been guiding hog hunts in Southwest Georgia for 15 years now. Probably killed somewhere in the neighborhood of about 8000+ Pigs. My customers keep everything but the boars and the pigs that are too shot up. In that length of time not one person has ever gotten sick From the meat. It must...
If I remember correctly, swift A-frames, use a pure copper jacket. Also, the bearing surface may be considerably longer than the bullets. The Hodgdon manual was using. This would cause a lot higher pressure than with gilding metal jackets, and or shorter bearing surfaces.
I’ll add my name to the list of people that went to Africa because when they were 12 years old read, “death in the long grass”. By far, the best storyteller about African hunting that I have ever read. I don’t give two rats ass if he was somewhat of a phony as a PH, but he made me want to go to...
Don’t wast your money on anything atn. I would look at the pulsar talion xq 50. I’m a hog hunting guide and that is the only brand I use at the moment. To say that my scopes get used more than normal is a Giant understatement. It’s almost as difficult to find a scope without bells and whistles...

I had a client several years ago that had this, but not to the point that he couldn’t sit in a BBQ restaurant. Had it for several years and I heard that a few trips to an acupuncturist finally cured it. Not sure about the “ science “ behind this, but he can eat all the red meat he wants to now.
I loaded for a buddies 450 nitro last year that he shot 3 buffalo in Mozambique with. He has a shoulder injury that won’t allow him to run full strength loads. So, I developed a load using 295gr. Raptors and 325gr. Safari solids that ran the standard 2150ish fps. I think he only used one of the...
I’ll be honest, I haven’t read past the first post, so if I offend anyone else’s opinion, my apologies in advance. I took my 500 NE Merkel on my first safari and the first animal I killed was a Cape buffalo. And I can confirm that I wouldn’t have done it any other way! Now, I will admit that I...
