I can see brakes being more popular than suppressors for shooters. Shooters want max recoil reduction and don’t care about the concussion because everyone is wearing good hearing protection. Hunting is different. Many, including guides and PHs, wear no hearing protection.

Carry on was a mistake. You are correct that they must be in checked baggage on international, and I believe checked as a separate item within SA. I agree with the Glock comment. I think I’m going with one or two Pelican cases.

Each one would have to declared. I don’t see how they would be suspicious of something that was clearly declared beforehand.

I would put two boxes in one case, and two boxes in a second case. I would put the cases in separate carry on suitcases. My primary question is the suitability of using pistol cases to carry the ammo boxes.

I have a question about the lockable ammo cases. I was thinking about about splitting my ammo, which are in their original boxes, between two or three small cases with the idea the airlines might be less likely to lose all my ammo. Now my question. I have a few empty pistol cases, Glock etc...

if I understand you, yes. You send them rifle, cartridge, specific velocity, scope height, zero yardage, and expected elevation/temperature data and they laser engraved custom turret in yardage/meters. Those who’ve purchased and tested generally say they’re spot on at least to a hundred yards...
