    Largest Trophies

Wonderful photos from everyone so far, I'd like to add a detail that might of been missed due to the short nature of the OP. You do not have to be the hunter...I don't want to dull the flow of what's already coming! Here is an example; clearly not me (however I would love to find information...

    Largest Trophies

G'day I have 'ressigned' myself to 'hunting online' for the largest trophies hunters have harvested so I can create a gallery. This is a photo based thread. Requirements are the animal must be harvested & presented (dead) no living animal photos please.

    Rimmed (only) Cartridges

I have heard to many good things about 7x57R to deny it a spot and to confirm it's placement...I've heard very little (personally none) bad reports on the 7x57R...

    Rimmed (only) Versatility

I do not have one yet, I've sold all my gear to have one but... Krieghoff state "Approximately 8 1/2 lbs depending on wood density and caliber" (not inc. barrel insert for the 5.6x52R).

Shooting sticks, 2 or 3 legs?

Not wanting to be that guy but anyway.... What about One Legged Sticks? As an engineer & cnc machinist I've been thinking about machining my own from something a bit "more" than woods (an aerospace alloy), the idea came from the African Sporting Creations store online when I saw they have a 1...

As much as I like the less known but frequently nicer Drilling/Double makers like Peter Hoffer etc. and whilst I know that these individuals could make "basically anything" my budget isn't in the hundreds & thousands... which is practically always the case with these type of gunsmiths that make...

As I mentioned, I've already spoken with blaser about .375 Flgd Mag & they've told me that they won't do it, Krieghoff do offer a .375 Flgd Mag but only in Double or Double Rifle Drilling (meaning 1 shotgun barrel to redo not 2).

I've already spoken with Blaser about a month ago and they no longer do their D99 Trio (Triple Rifle) range they have since updated their online catalogues to reflect it as well (the "Trio" columns are gone).

    Rimmed (only) Versatility

I'm seeing as the perfect all round drilling rifle (for 'me'), varmint to DG - 5.6x52R & 7x57R & .375 Flgd Mag The only calibers I'm uncertain of are... 5.6x52R (can only find 5g bullets, same problem with 5.6x50R which is why I've chose the 52, for now). .375 Flgd Mag (not its use, but think...

    Rimmed (only) Versatility

I've spoken with a number of Gunsmiths down under about re-barreling/having inserts put into existing double/triple barrel shotguns to convert them into rifled firearms, however every single gunsmith I've contacted has turned me down and it was everyone on the whole first and second page of...

    G'day from Australia

Late reply... But I know what you're talking about all too well, it's just you never see in our "media" 'Hunter saves the day!' only the opposite which makes one lean to one side more my "grey geezers" mates (they got names for me...) all handle it better because they've just been in the game...

The .375 Holland & Holland Flanged Magnum

That's exactly what I'm trying to line up but I'm determined.

    Rimmed (only) Versatility

Gday Reader Follow up to my previous post asking about ypur favorite rimmed calibers I'd like to ask a separate question. Of the factory loaded rimmed cartridges available which calibers have the broadest bullet ranges? 5.6x52R - I can only find 5g bullets But... 7x57R - I can find 9g to 11g...

    Rimmed (only) Cartridges

I've got a secondary "related" question but I'll need to make a new thread for it because it's only slightly related to this thread. But thanks for all your responses so far, I'm sure more will chime in as they read it.
