I use chapuis doubles on daily basis for guiding water buffalo There isnt better rifles one of mine shot over 500 buffalos and its like new .

Here a guy sell one in 416rigby by 11000 i have a progress in 470NE and an Agex artisan 416rigby. Im not sure what to do

I teach double rifle shooting in my farm in Argentina and BEFORE shooting the double we shoot 500 shells of 12 gauge in a double shotgun.

My friend the mauser was a present by Guillermo Amestoy Hoffman after a succesfull water buffalo hunt with my dogo Paimun. He used a cz 416rigby and i used a marlin guide gun 4570 with garrets solids. Its a Mauser 1909 Argentine.Only two shots in the magazine. Cheers Juan

I shoot doubles and shotguns daily .I dindnt notice great diferences performing in the field between VC Heym Merkel or Chapuis. I have several old English guns but you must take care of them .I forgot Krieghoff very good and strong guns too.

I use a Chapuis progress 470NE for guiding water buffalo in Argentina. Over 1000 shells fired and never an issue

I consider the Chapuis artisan one of the best i have a Chapuis progress that fired near 1000 shells and its new .Saying this i love my Merkel 160AE 470NE and i consider Heym VC and Krieghoff great guns too.

Well i have a #Chapuis 470NE with over 1000 shells fired and not a single issue yet .Another in 416rigby great rifle too but its new.I have #merkel 470NE with purdey lock and its a great gun.So i recommend both
