The post has been up since 9 September, they have not clarified that fact that it is darted . Lots of people commented on the fact it dying - Not good public relations in these times.
I was thinking that too at first , but no explanation, 30 plus comments most saying bad taste as still alive- context is everything, can’t post half a story. If it darted say it is darted- I have shot old breeding stock in SA so it does get shot. Would not post a video of looking half dead...
I have just seen on instagram an outfitter posting a video of a very large gut shot springbok. The animal is obviously still alive , the animal has been propped up with the hunter moving its head around to get the best angles for the video- Personally I think that is in poor taste and playing...
I wanted to cancel my 2022 Africa trip due to a cancer scare with my wife- my outfitter was very understanding and said I would not be charged if I could not make it. I was going with a few Friends and they would continue with the trip. Only one of my friends knew about my wife being ill. As...
Sorry , don’t reload , but have used .308
In 2019 on plains game with no issues at all- 150 g federal fusion.
300 win mag 2022 - Sako super hammer head - definitely more then enough gun on plains game-

A tragic set of events, and condolences to all concerned, as all will be blaming themselves and hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Would anyone know what percentage of buffalo shot need to be tracked and a follow up shot required?
German Wirehaired Pointer for me, this one is currently 4 yrs old. This is my 3 rd GWP. Have had lots of dogs over the years. This one has been the hardest to calm down. She is good at her job though. Will indicate Deer on the hoof and will do a tidy job of tracking and stopping injured deer if...
The other advantage to using sticks- recent trip to SA.My PH used the inverted sticks to make us look like an Oryx on the open hill to get close to the Mountain Zebra . Frontal shot at 365 yds on open hill would not of been possible without the use of sticks- Zebra was dead before it hit the ground.
Have been using Quad stick for a number of years. Both for UK deer stalking and Hunting trips in SA. Once you get used to them , there is no going back. Regular head shot deer at 100 yds plus with no issues.
