WANT TO BUY Whitworth rear island base and 2 leaf express sight

I picked up a Whitworth Express rifle in 375 H&H to pair with the one in 458 Win Mag I bought from Badger Matt a couple of months ago. Unfortunatly, the rear sight has been removed. Anyone have one on hand or know where I can find one?

    Frontier Gear of Alaska Pack

Not strange at all. I felt the same way when I got mine. My son had been using a Mystery Ranch Mule to train for the smoke jumper test. He was training with 50 lbs. I have this frame and pack and nothing comes close to it when packing a heavy load. I do believe that is the Moose pack.

Whitworth .458 WM - FTF near Greenville, SC

I met Badger Matt in Greenville yesterday on my way home from visiting my mother. He was a perfect gentleman and the pictures dont do this rifle justice. This rifle has been on my "I want that" list since I saw one in my dad's 1975 Gun Digect. Thanks Matt, I couldn't be happier.

Quick Release / Quick Disconnect Scope Mounts - Do You Use Them?

I use QD sights on all my rifles except my 336-C, wich still has the see through sights and Tasco scope on it. My Rugers and CZ 550s wear Alaska Arms QD rings. My Tikka has Leupold QD rings.

DIY hunting in the USA, suggestions where to go?

I think yall are harshing this man's mellow. If he has a year to do this hunting and is willing to put in the time for research and planning, he can fill the year with hunting adventures all over our country. There will be limitations. I dont think anyone needs to hunt anywhere and Alaska the...

DIY hunting in the USA, suggestions where to go?

This is intriguing. My take is that you have many oportunities at many species. As some have said, drawing tags is difficult, in fact simply navigating the regulations, seasons, and hunt areas can be overwhelming when you first look into it. My advise: Hunt eastern (preferably southern)...
