Thats interesting, better get the memo out, From Sudan to South Africa I have never seen a snake spared while in villages. In the bush, maybe 50% of snakes are spared and walked around but I have seen hundreds of snakes killed sometimes for no reason. I almost stepped on a cobra...

Yep, I was there in the beginning of the outbreak, got caught up trying to leave Uganda into Rwanda, and then onto Kenya, was quarantined, stayed 20 days in Africa and it was a pain coming home. As far as risk, I would go, but be ready for some stress with travel.

You’re right about South Africa, So sad…. Some of the footage is shocking, especially the helicopter footage over the Arab killings.

I am addicted to Africa and go every other month, for the past 10 years :-). Of course that is for work mostly :-(. I will admit, I am enjoying South America a bit these days, while I love Africa I am getting tired of its perpetual “problems” and “charity mindset”

Ol Pejeta is private, hence well managed in my opinion, The Mara is awesome but the most poorly operated in my humble opinion. Just too many people interfering with wildlife. They are all nice,I love Amboseli, Tsavo, Nakuru etc but nothing compared to Ngorogoro, Serengeti, or many of the parks...

Kenyas safari industry is a mess, I am fortunate to visit Kenyas national parks many times a year and they are a joke, thousands of tourists with no concern for wildlife.
