How many are addicted to Africa and need yearly fix?

I am addicted to Africa and go every other month, for the past 10 years :-). Of course that is for work mostly :-(. I will admit, I am enjoying South America a bit these days, while I love Africa I am getting tired of its perpetual “problems” and “charity mindset”

    Kenya Lawsuit To Limit Ecotourism

Ol Pejeta is private, hence well managed in my opinion, The Mara is awesome but the most poorly operated in my humble opinion. Just too many people interfering with wildlife. They are all nice,I love Amboseli, Tsavo, Nakuru etc but nothing compared to Ngorogoro, Serengeti, or many of the parks...

    Kenya Lawsuit To Limit Ecotourism

Kenyas safari industry is a mess, I am fortunate to visit Kenyas national parks many times a year and they are a joke, thousands of tourists with no concern for wildlife.

    Ebola & Africa

That is so true, I once was driving from Jo burg to Mozambique at night, ran over something in the road and it thumped under the tires, Looking back it was a person that was hit earlier in the day and probably a hundred cars went over them. My passenger said “Don’t Stop!” As I would be...

Caprivi strip travel warrant medical/ evac coverage?

Medical care in Namibia is pretty first class, I have experience with doctors and care in Namibia doing some medical aid in bushmen land and we used local Namibian doctors instead of the more common US doctors flying in. Plus medical facilities are fairly numerous . Not sure about Zim...

Caprivi strip travel warrant medical/ evac coverage?

I was thinking the same thing? Why particularly Caprivi? I would recommend insurance just because it is cheap and why not, however I have been from Zambia to Rundu too many times too count and never felt I was in danger of any kind from animals or people…

    Ebola & Africa

Yeah it is, but truthfully Ebola is very survivable if treated accordingly, sadly most rural Congolese and Western Ugandans don’t trust doctors as well as do not have access to any healthcare .. pretty sad as they will trust anything but the truth.
