Merry Christmas and a happy hunting filled New Year!

I once had a run in with a rabid coyote at our ranch in South Texas. It was swimming circles in one of the ponds and when I approached it closer, it swam for the bank and was growling. I had to dispatch it. Not really an attack, but it was interesting and a bit scary

Another story occurred while mountain lion hunting in New Mexico. Tracking dogs treed a large Tom. While we were setting up for the shot the cat decided to come out of the tree, He hit the ground and took a swipe at 3 of us before moving on to another tree.

While fishing on the Big Hole river in Montana I came across an angry mother moose and her calf in some willows on a small island in the river. Didn’t realize how big those moose can get or how fast they can run.
