Not sure why we haven’t gotten past the fact that the 358 win is easily a 300 yard cartridge with the right bullet. I have several hand loads that will get me to 400 yards and kill big game without issue. This is my 225 grain partition load starting out 2600 ft sec.
Bob I love how you just tell it like it is! I love my Hawkeye so much I’m planning on having my Remington 700 in .243 re bored to .358 because one just isn’t enough. Question, do you guys think the 225 partition will open up at lower velocity like the 225 SGK? Sure would like to try those...
I was just reading through this whole thread again for the second time. What a neat read. I have a few boxes of old factory loaded silvertips. They shoot pretty decent groups out of my ruger Hawkeye. Maybe I’ll try them on a deer someday. I just really like the 225 SGK and the 225 partition...
