I know a guy who hunted deer once in a while with his 458WM, just to be able to shoot it on live game here. However, for the deer he used 5744 to develop what he called a “bowling ball” load. LOL!

The Speers hotcores are the only 235grn bullets I’ve tried. I found an accurate “deer load” (moderate-level velocity) using Varget. This load could also double as a practice load. I use F215 mag primers but will try the F210s to see what accuracy I get.
