What is it about 404 Jeffery?

Apparently you missed the part where I was being a tad facetious. ;) Even Vlad got it.

What is it about 404 Jeffery?

Well, easing into retirement and handing over the existing backlog of work to a younger custom ‘smith is one thing. In that circumstance it shouldn’t be any hassle to get your rifle or pistol return-shipped if you’re not comfortable going forward with the new ‘smith. Health issues are very a...

What is it about 404 Jeffery?

Well, you might want to check and be sure he's still alive. That's happened before .... a guy ships his rifle or pistol to a 'smith for some custom work and there's a long wait due to the complexity of the project or a backlog from early work. Then one day, suddenly, the 'smith croaks. :eek...

Not only that, …. but we also need to see evidence of round-count (i.e., number of actual rounds fired), pics of targets to indicate zeroing and accuracy with the iron sights, and a statement as to the number and species of animals taken with said rifle.

Best .45 ACP round for black bear protection

I shoot only coated hardcast bullets in my pistols (.45 & 10mm), and only coated and gas-checked bullets in my rifles. No leading issues. In fact I’ve had great accuracy and no leading out of my 10mm Glock 40’s factory barrel (6.2”) with SNS Castings coated 220grn FN slugs.

    180 Grain XTP 10mm

Just FYI, …. but for those who don’t, or can’t, reload I recently got re-stocked on Underwood’s Range Supply (RS) 10mm 180grn FMJ ammo. UW’s ‘box flap’ spec for this load is 1250fps, which is upper mid-range for the ubiquitous 180grn bullet-weight. It’s great practice fodder for the serious...

    180 Grain XTP 10mm

Not sure how helpful this reference is to your question, but two AK residents armed with Glock 20s recently stopped a Grizz charge shooting a “mishmash” of 10mm ammo. See the quote below. The one guy was shooting BB 180grn JHPs along with hardcast. Scouting for moose sign in known Grizz country...

    180 Grain XTP 10mm

Actually that’s not true. Maybe back in 1998 it was, …. but welcome to 2025. MagTech, Sig, and Fiocchi all load 180grn 10mm FMJ “range” ammo to 1250fps, which is hardly watered-down 40-level junk. You can attribute that to the Real 10mm Resurgence that’s been going on since circa...

The 425 Express - an overlooked caliber - 2 rifles added

Missing rear sight? You’ll need one if the scope goes down. All DGRs must come with iron sights - pre-zeroed from the factory. It’s like a Law of Nature. ;)
