    Cz feeding problem

Last round issue is follower issue.....does it have a 458 Lott follower or different cartridge? On ZKK the cartridge is stamped under the follower not sure on 550... If it was something else before(wrong follower) I would start there....

Different take on the Canadian shot dead in the Kruger

If only rule 1 which is the most basic of firearm handling rules was followed.....defective rifle or not an innocent person would not have died.....simple 1. Always Keep the Muzzle Pointed in a Safe Direction This is the most basic safety rule. If everyone handled a firearm so carefully that the...

Different take on the Canadian shot dead in the Kruger

Why would you make such a dumb statement? No person working with clients will intentialy fire a rifle to harm someone. And I did not insinuate that he fired it on purpose.... Rifles dont just fire themselves.....if handled incorrectly and pointed not in a safe direction and standard protocols...

Different take on the Canadian shot dead in the Kruger

This is the right sequince of events.... There is no such thing as an accidental discharge. As a trails guide you are not permitted to show or demonstrate your rifle to guests. You are not allowed to have the rifle loaded. Rifles are always carried unloaded while walking or while resting...

    Buffaloes are tough

If it is a visiting hunter yes he/she will be guided by a competent and suitably armed PH(or should be)... First shot placement is the key to hunting and more so for dg. A proper controlled expansion bullet from 300gr 375 through the hart(not clipping) or just above the hart and through both...

    Buffaloes are tough

The biggest legal caliber the hunter is competent with using the right bullets of course...... It is pointless using a 500 Jeff if the biggest caliber a hunter can use with competence is a 375 H&H.

    Buffaloes are tough

This is more applicable for the 375 H&H using 300gr bullets. The 375 H&H in my opinion is...

    Buffaloes are tough

373 H&H should not be used on frontal shots on buffalo...... Do not use solids on buffalo even in 500 Jeff use premium grade expanding bullets......

Where do you stand on Sectional Density?

No the velocity is too high..... I have killed dg game with a 7x57mm with 170 and 175 gr and 3006 with 220gr... I prefer heavy for caliber bullets with high sd in legal DG calibers and moderate velocity 2200 to 2400fps eg. 9.3 286gr and 300gr 375 300gr, 340gr, 350gr and 380gr 510 570gr and...
