    Original 500 Jeff used 535grn shorter bullets.....those days are long past.....the norm now is 579 and 600grn for working rifles that is. 404 Jeff same story.... Magnum actions..... Yes standard will work but the magnum is better... A BRNO ZKK602 will also be stronger than an ex military...

    There is no need for a spacer/filler in the magazine, especially when using 570 and 600 grn bullers, clearly these are unfounded assumptions from folks who have not built 500 Jeff on ZKK602 actions or have any experience with the combination......

    But it cannot have a belt or a straight wall case.....I may look further into the 458 Sabi.....500 Jeff case necked down to .458 it fires a 550gr bullet at 2350fps at lower pressure than any other 458...... Essentialy it is a 458 Jeffery......

    I prefer 404 Jeff with heavy for caliber bullets built to spec on a BRNO ZKK602 action. Nothing wrong with Pre 64....

    Lets say you buy a Krieghoff Hubertus 7x65R(24 inch octagonal) and there is an option to add a 28ga 3 inch barrel, what would you consider the ideal barrel length for the shotgun barrel? Would you go for multi chokes? Bore, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full?

    Short stroking only occurs when the one handling the rifle does it wrong. Length of action will not reduce the potential..... You either know how to reload a rifle correctly or not. Under stress or not, dg or not... Very simple....the rifle cannot short stroke itself only the one handling it...
