Great rifle

Probably a 30 06. I also have a pre 64 270 that could use a custom stock. Its stock is not origonal and has a small crack. Too many ideas floating around in my head.

Does anyone know when the 2026 Shot Show Claro AAA rifles are supposed to be aviable? Im considering a 30 06 and sending it to Tim at Matrix for a quarter rib kit. It might be my birthday gun this year.

How was the fit? Did it take much work to get the rifles in the stock?

I have a 1917, 30 06 I would like to do something with. It needs a stock, I have been looking at different options. Has anyone bought a flattop mcmillan and had it inletted for a 1917 enfield action? I like the idea of 416 rigby 1917 in a mcwoody dark mcmillan stock. Not sure if this is even...

I would either buy a model 70/ montanna 99. 300 rum. Then have a good smith rebarrel and work the action with a McMillan stock. Or for a little more money, Iwould look at Hill country. I held the hill country dangerous game rifle at SCI and was very impressed. I would not hesitate to buy one...

My choices in 375 were model 70 safari express and a ruger ftw 375 ruger. The only christensen I have been around was one of the early custom shop ones.

My advise, drink tequila with your best friend and African Hunting buddy and get on gun broker. That's how I ended up with a pre 64 270 last weekend.
