You’re correct in the aesthetics but 0.0625” is likely less than the minimum acceptable barrel thickness. It’s already threaded 5/8”, or 0.625” x 18. If they are going to rethread it & don’t want to shorten it to get enough meat for 0.6875” or 11/16”, then rethread to 5/8” x24.
