Looks great and smart idea. Only suggestion I'd add is a little lip on the sides and back to keep small stuff from rolling off. Maybe thats just me that has that problem... Well done!

That's awesome! Has the action been worked at all? Pretty cool set of pieces to build a rifle out to whatever you want. You didnt ask, but I'd put the fore end of that stock on a diet. Seems hefty. But I bet that stock sands down and finishes up to something interesting.

For my first trip I wrapped my gun bolt in a dish towel (out of the gun) and packed it in the gun case with the gun. Because my wife loves me very much she got me this little Rigby leather deal that holds the bolt. I'll never own a Rigby, so I have their little bolt holder.

I also very thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and very much got the lucky table tonight. And my hat is glorious.

I got a reasonably good load for TSX with Varget, but the barrel is still breaking in and im still learning the gun. I tried IMR4350 with A-frames and TSX and didn't feel great about where it was headed. Varget is a "good at most" kind of powder. I can almost always get something workable...
