    What is your accuracy standard for a Big Bore bolt gun?

    I think I’m tired ( couldn’t sleep last night), but for some strange reason when you wrote "sexy leather ones on eBay" my slightly warped brain imaged him in a leather boots, skirt and jacket with tinktink's rifle stalking crocodiles , in my defence I had been reading a book set during ww2 and...

    425 Westley Richards-.435" --->400gr Cutting Edge Bullets

    Woodleigh had a fire a few years ago and are back up and running, but they are not making all of their lines as yet, they are making the ones that produce most income to be able to afford to start making their other lines of projectiles. They are doing small lines as they can Gumpy

    Thoughts on the use of a Pederzoli Kodiak .50 sxs muzzle loader : 370gn Maxi-balls for plains game hunting?

    I may have opened a (interesting) proverbial box of worms….. I was thinking more of the OP just shooting a stack of wet paper in a wooden box to see which lead projectiles were going to be the best option for him, re penetration and mushrooming Gumpy

    WTB .450ne or .450/400

    The 450/400 2 3/8" cartridge ( also known as the 10.3x60rimmed Swiss ) is suited to medium sized game up to 150 yards, the 3" and 3 1/4" are more suited to large game , though I don’t think they would be good for elephant in the hands of an inexperienced shooter , but shot placement is...

    WTB .450ne or .450/400

    No one seems to have asked which 450/400 you are chasing, there are three sizes, 2 3/8”, 3” and 3 1/4”, all of which where available "between the wars" Gumpy

    Bedding Release agent

    When I was working at a gun store I saw a timber stock that a customer had "bedded " himself as he didn’t want to pay us to do it, with a kit he bought from us, he didn’t apply the wax properly and didn’t block holes in the receiver, and didn’t rough or key the wood, then hammered it to get it...
