    From the shooting range

This is basically the same spot this morning, I’d be pushed to shoot 100 mtrs :ROFLMAO: (and it’s 3.5*C) I’m lucky that I live rural and my closest neighbour is 10 km away so I don’t need to worry about noise Gumpy

What caliber would you bring back from the dead?

That I couldn’t tell you, I only know they designed one and it went through trials Gumpy

    From the shooting range

Currently this is my range…although I’ve been told I’m not allowed to shoot off the verandah anymore, scares the cat (lap warmer) or something like that. The sand dune is 800yards away, if I need to go further than that I could just go to the other side of the dune and then I’ve got around 2...

What caliber would you bring back from the dead?

Russia used it in a version of the dugarov( spelling) with armour piercing projectiles as a longer distance anti personal weapon Not sure if they still do, but you can almost guarantee it is in the Ukraine along with a lot of obsolete equipment Gumpy

    Copper bullets

I didn’t know Cameron was doing 25 cal projectiles, when he did the .287” ones for me that was about as small as he was doing. Mind you that was four years ago, before Chris got sick, I haven’t done much with it since. Oh, and I always try for a head shot, don’t like following wounded or dying...

    Copper bullets

The only copper bullets I’ve used are Atomic29 (Australian company) in my 280 nitro on a goat and a sheep, both dropped on the spot with head shots at around 150 yards, I’ve got some others for my 404 Jeff that I haven’t shot at live things yet Gumpy

What to do with another Siamese Mauser

Yes, but you will need all the firepower you can get if you’re charged but one of those pesky rabbits, just remember those huge nashing teeth…that evil stare they give just before charging….the bones of their victims that lay scattered across their killing field….the way they…… Sorry …I’ll take...

    404 jeffery woodleigh load data

I’m building a house 70yards from the shed, currently living in a two room cottage, shed is my workshop, I can park my truck in the open front section and still have enough room for three more trucks and my tractor, the 60x40 foot enclosed rooms contain my machinery and household goods. The new...

    404 jeffery woodleigh load data

Ha. I walk across to my shed (230 yards) to get my manual, walk back and see two other kind souls have already helped. And it’s 4.5* C at the moment…at least the fog has lifted and the sun is trying to shine. :ROFLMAO: And we need pictures… Gumpy

Easiest Way to make 458 Winchester Brass?

Autocorrect…it KNOWS WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY, even if it’s not what you want to say. I have some sympathy for those who can’t get factory brass, I was lucky with mine in that when I was working at the gun shop my, now deceased, friend (who was the manager) sold me two bags of Norma for cost price...

    Any BPCR fans?

This one I wanted to be a bit different A martini cadet in 32-35 ( the ammo was obsolete by 1930) that I built as an offhand schutzen rifle. Again cleaned between shots like the Remington, but this uses fixed ammo with a 150gn 20/1 lead projectile and 27 gns of 3P . I make the brass from 30-30...

    Any BPCR fans?

My Remington No.1 rolling block, chambered to be the equivalent of a 45/100( 500gn projectile,16/1, breach seated and a 45/70 case stuffed with 92 gns of 2P and a 3/32 cardboard wad on top to keep the powder in) I wipe between shots, one wet patch, soluble oil and water, and one dry patch. What to do with another Siamese Mauser

I’ve used several of Cam,s stocks, and a couple of Geoff’s from back when he was alive. Sure beats carving out one from a lump of wood, though I’ve still got a couple of blanks and a 6"x2"x8' plank in the shed that are aging . Are you going to buy a barrel sling fitting or make one. I made the...

    404 jeffery vs 416 Rigby

:E Doh: If you were the expert you think you are and actually absorbed the information provided you would know that the “c/h” ring is reinforcing and the barrel screws up against it and that was mentioned in one of my posts, and this importance, which should be obvious is the metal quality from...
