    Extra Time in Buenos Aires

We went to Argentina last year, got there a couple of days early and stayed in an Air BnB in Palmero. I highly recommend it!! The International Airport is way out west of the city, it was about an hour in the taxi (Traffic!!) The domestic airport is on the east coast right on the ocean...

Went to DSC for the first time, wow!

PHs, guides, and outfitters don't stay in the business without consistently offering great services. I doubt you'd go wrong with any of them, however, my experience is with KMG and I highly recommend Marius.

    Looking for Argentina advice

I hunted with El Carrizal last year, Didn't do any fishing. I think the fishing for trout is more in the Pantagonia region (?) Meet some fishermen on the flight, that's where they were headed, We were after Red Stag for my son. https://www.estanciaelcarrizal.com/

My apologies, I use Partitions almost exclusively. Started with he Solid Base, went to Ballistic Tips then Accubonds, but I'm back to Partitions and staying for that rifle.

    7 rem mag bullet selection

Depends on what your rifle likes? Mine likes 150 Noslers so that's what I used and continue to use.

    SCI convention

Really interested in how much that quiets the 300 WM; if it'll protect or not harm what little hearing I have left.

What Are Your 2026 Hunt Plans?

375 Fox, I spent Friday talking to a lot of European outfits plus a few that represent them. Ended up winning an auction for Chamois in Spain!! In fact, I had planned to attend SCI this weekend but now I have my hunt booked! Really excited for this one!

    4350 powders

In reverse order: They are NOT interchangable, They are CLOSE. I can provide loading info for IMR 4350 (My pretty much go-to) as can several other members on this board. With the 300 H&H, there's really no NEED for a 275 or a 35 unless you just want to take them, Personally, I'd take any...

Any recommended books on hunting big game in Europe?

Lloyd Newberry's European Hunter. I met him a few years ago - he was a Professor at Armstrong Atlantic (now Georgia Southern - Armstrong) in Savannah, GA. He took his wife on all his trips so a lot of his writing is tourist info, but it's all good info, and very good reading.

What Are Your 2026 Hunt Plans?

Went to DSC a few years ago (In Dallas) Booked for Argentina, Met a guy from Spain that runs a camp in Spain. I've seen outfit advertising "See you in Arlanta or Nashville". I think Europe will be better represented every year as more countries open their hunting and want American dollars?
