The receiver is a 1907 Greek...comparing against the 1908 8x56 MS that I have, there is a lot more metal to the 1907...I will stick with a MS cartridge when I re-caliber because I really don't want to screw up the spindle...

Puddle, I'm matching those ballistics with a Barnes Bullet. My PBZ of 3 inches high at 100yds is 3.5 inches low at 300. I don't ever mess with changing dope!
I have a machinist/gunsmith that can contour the magazine rotary based on the case dimensions.
Based on my research, the rotary magazine can be modified slightly, based on the amount of steel there.
The magazine box should be able to accept the cartridge's length without much modification...
I've got a 257 Roberts and it is a wonderfully shooting rifle. I reload my own ammo and it simply loves Barnes bullets. I've shot deer from 11 yards to 300 yards and they have never gone past 20 yds! Wonderful caliber!
