    Should I cut my 375 H&H barrel?

I think you made the gun exactly what you wanted, short handy brush gun. Great job. I have a new Ruger Alaskan 9.3x62 and it handles great in the brush. However, I have seriously debated cutting it to 16-18”, threading barrel, having the front site put back on. Sort of like what Ruger...

    416 rigby journey

it will be fun! Keep us all informed. I found atuff all over the place. Raven Rock for brass and a few bullets, midsouth for bullets, reloading die set. I bought a Lee crimp die, but make sure your press can handle a larger threads. Redding and rcbs presses have a bushing in some models.

Favorite Bullet Manufacturer for Non-Dangerous Game Poll

When I started reloading I used Sierra with pretty much everything. I was only 18, and they were the same price for a 100 as the noslers were for 50. I shot a LOT back then. The sierras worked on everything I hit with them. Whitetail mainly, a couple elk, 1 small bison, turkeys, g-hogs...

Want to buy Barnes reloading manual number 4

Nosler also has load data on their website if you end up using Nosler bullets. I looked in a lot of places for the last Barnes book, I love having reloading manuals as well. I even tried to buy a couple “ store copies” that were in use at different shops and they would not sell them even...

    Ruger 77 Alaskan Trigger Replacement

Did you take trigger and sear out to see if there were burrs or rough edges at engagement points? This will cause it sometimes. I have used 600 or 800 grit sandpaper laying on perfectly flat surface and polish edges. Just a thought

    Ruger 77 Alaskan Trigger Replacement

I also replaced a trigger spring, with a spring I had handy, but it’s only down to 3.5#. I put a timney in one of my other Hawkeye rifles, and it will get light but it has creep that I haven’t been able to get rid of, and it drives me crazy. That was 3 Hawkeye rifles ago, now I just replace...

    Ruger no 1 9.3x62 international

I also had a 9.3x74 in a #1, and it seemed to like pretty much any bullet at any speed. Light loads with 232 oryx shot great, 250 accubonds with max load of varget shot best. Regret selling it. I have 2 9.3x62 in Ruger m77 and they both shoot great. I cannot speak for them in the full...

    350 Legend?

I bought a tikka earlier this year when they first went on sale for the exact same reason. I have been going to Ohio the last several years. The guys there with them have had same complaints about the 150 grain bullets not doing well on bigger deer. Most of the time not getting pass thru...

    Tight chambering brass

A lot of good advice here. I had a 6.5 creedmoor that was funny like this. Several things here I also did. I usually set up my sizer so that it sizes the case just enough to chamber easily so as to not over-work the brass, it also fits chamber a little better. Lots of articles on this so...

What did a loved one gift you that you were excited to get?

Well my wife really shocked me this year. Ruger Alaska. In 9.3x62! Talk about awesome! I was shocked. My good friend called her when it came in and told her about it, she said sure. Kids were in on it and her parents helped smuggle it into the house on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning...

The hardest hunt I have had in five years....

I had a frigging rat get into my truck a couple years ago and I tried it all. Took the rear seat out and all. It got into and out of two traps in the engine compartment. I took my cat out there one evening and sat there and petted it, spread the hair all over the cab. She wondered all...
