    Image stabilized binos?

Mine are Fujinon. 14x40 for spotting birds while fishing. Seagulls will feed on baitfish pushed up by fish so finding birds means finding fish. The glass is great and is is much better than my buddy’s Canons. Stabilization is needed on a boat but on land I can hold 10x with no problem. The...

Ruger M77 Mark II Safari Magnum Cabela's Special Editions

Do all RSMs have animals engraved in gold on the floor plate?? I thought this was standard on RSMs. My 375 has a lion.

    Thinking of a Wolf Hunt

We had a good number of wolves in Northern Ontario where I grew up. At that time there was a $55 bounty on a wolf. You brought in the left ear to Ontario Department of Lands and Forests and they paid you. Plus you could sell the pelt to an American for upwards of $100. By the way Northern...

    Lion hunted illegally allegedly

Here is a photo of Blondie the lion. The photo was taken about 2 miles outside of the park in Hunt Unit 1. The collar is easily visible. The story about the lion being lured out of the park is bogus. There was no bait or any other kind of meat anywhere near. This photo was taken July 9 in...

    Buffalo rifle show and tell

I listened to Kevin Robertson and got a Ruger MK II in 375 H&H. The trigger was terrible so it got a Timney trigger, which is almost mandatory on that rifle. Then I listened to Phillip Glass and out a Leupold VX-5 2-10x42 in case of an opportunity on plains game. The first morning tracking...

Major Bank? Regional Bank? Local Bank? Credit Union?

The outfitters for my international hunts had accounts with either Chase or Bank of America in Miami. No problem with domestic wire transfers to a major bank.

    Recommended Ammo for .375 H&H?

I just got back from Zimbabwe hunting with a long time buddy who got first crack at buffalo while I took opportunities at plains game until he got his buffalo. I had both 270 grain Accubonds and 300 grain Swift A Frame loads. The PH recommended I use the 300 grain A Frame for everything. The...

How do you use QD rings/mounts...if at all?

QD mounts on an inline scoped muzzleloader are a necessity because the scope shoujd be removed for proper soapy water cleaning.

416 Ruger VS 416 Rem Mag

As far as I am aware the only rifle chambered in 416 Ruger is the Ruger Hawkeye. I recently got back from Zimbabwe where my buddy had a Hawkeye in 416 Ruger. The cartridge is fine but the recoil is brutal because of the light weight. It operated perfectly He shot his Buffalo 9 times even though...

Cost at an Audiologist for Custom Earplugs

Insta-Mold in Oaks PA (Philadelphia Suburbs) made mine about 15 years ago for about $50. The computerized hearing enhancement version was about $1000 then and about the same now. I should probably upgrade.

ZIMBABWE: Has Anyone Hunted With Elephant Trails Safaris?

I just got back yesterday from hunting with Elephant Trails. My buddy and I had a great hunt and I would not hesitate to go with them again. I will write up a hunt report in a separate post.

    Politics

Just about every electric utility has a trading floor and some have multiple trading floors. Because of electronic trading, trading floors are distributed all over the country. For example the Philadelphia Stock Exchange is the major trading venue for derivatives.

    270 Wsm or 270 Wby

6.8 Western. It is a 270 WSM tweaked to take higher BC bullets. You might have a problem with 270 WSM ammo availability in the future. It never caught on. The 270 WBY is also one if the least popular WBY calibers.

Newark NJ Office for signing form 4457

Thanks. I was already aware of that. Flying out of Trenton with a firearm is even worse. Nobody had any clue about the rules. One person told me it had to be in a locked case inside my luggage. That is fine for pistols but difficult with a rifle. Good thing I went 3 hours early.
