@PARA45, a couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted more coverage for my rifles than provided by just my home owners insurance, since I travel with and ship rifles fairly regularly.
My biggest concern was how much of a hassle would it be if I actually had to file a claim for a damaged rifle...
@Acopperdawg, it just came down to my 416 being more comfortable to shoot in practice. My 458 Win was a little on the lite side and the 416 is a lot easier to feed than the 404Jeffery so I sold those two and just focus on practicing as much as possible with the 416 Rem.
I shot my elephant with a 400 grain Barnes Flat Nosed Solid out of a 416 Rem
Shot my hippo with same bullet/grain as my elephant. It was just out of a 404Jeffery instead of a 416 Rem.
I have shot 3 buffalo with AFrames. 300 grain/375H&H, 450 grain/458 Win and 400 grain/416 Rem
Leopard 300...
Another vote for 3/4 inch plywood behind the sheet rock. Also, a light/neutral color paint on the walls to help the mounts stand out as it were.
It’s 22 foot to my ceiling. Ceiling is South Georgia cyprus.
Congrats to you @swashington on an awesome rifle. When you get some time, you’re welcome to come bring it for a test run at my place. Hope all else is well and I am really glad it worked out for you and this rifle.
I have no need for the ammo but I can wholeheartedly endorse @Mark Biggerstaff as a great member to do business with here on AH. I have bought and sold several items with Mark over the years and have always been impressed with how he does business. Deal with confidence if this is ammo you need.
@Mtn_Infantry, who are you doing your sheep/caribou hunt with in the NWT? I did mine in 2021 with Ravens Throat. One of the best hunting experiences of my life. You’re in for an awesome hunt.
