    EAW Pivot Mount DIY Install

Unlock lever adjustment: When scope comes into place it clicks in and locked by a camming pin, and the unlock lever should drop ( but not fully). I just needed to set this up, and in the instructions ( earlier in this post).. it says unlock (11) with Allen key, then very very minor adjustments...

    Mark Sullivan the Expose’

Hi All, I read up to page 10... lots of opinion stuff.. and so I then went straight to write this. This is my personal take, and some experience with Mark Sullivan. So dont take it to seriously, as we are all different. He does life different that most, so do I, so do many. I met Mark and his...

I KNOW IT IS OVERKILL BUT WHAT BULLET AND WEIGHT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IN .458 WIN MAG FOR LEOPARD?

I used Woodleigh Hydro's 300gr in a Kimber 375H&H at Caprivi area in 2019, and with one bullet type shot Hippo, Wildebeest, Warthog, Dieker, Croc, Zebra... wound chanel was very good on all. Leupy VXR 3-9x40 scope was mounted forward as much as possible. I always take a pre sighted spare scope...

Why not a Dangerous Game lever?

Yes I hear what your saying. I'm keen for either to rock up, and we hunt within the cartridge range and bullet capability. Most cartridges do well side on.. with the required expansion./or wound chanell effect. 27 years ago I sold a nice 458, as we lost 3 buffalo in one season, not good... 500gr...

Why not a Dangerous Game lever?

After guiding 900 plus Buffalo etc hunts.. the only rifle/cartridge one shot that killed 100% was when the heart was taken out.. or above center through both lungs.. or brain. I'm referring to killed 100%. (not 99 or 95%).. as we all know the 1% is what gets client or ph killed. So when guiding...

Why not a Dangerous Game lever?

Here in the land down under...we had a hunter bring his long heavy Ruger 416 Rigby... second trip he bought along his beloved very well used rusty ol Marlin 4570 with a Buffalo Bore load, and shot our biggest (at the time) ever Water Buffalo trophy out on a vast flood plain.. we were laying low...

The Bastardization Of The Term Dagga Boy

African adventurers.. we all have varied opinions on trophy Buffalo, and dugga bulls.. ideal sports cars or best 4x4... we all get to decide before we take the shot. Many of us from overseas will call mature or aged or old Buffalo as dugga bulls no matter what the various scientific definitions...

458 Lott instead of 416 Rigby?

Yep, send me a load please. More hunters are using our rifles nowadays, have 375H&H, 404 Jeffery and 416 Rigby rifles... getting 2x 458WM rifles for Buffalo camp. I just spoke to Adam one of our guides, his load is a 480grainer, with Benchmark 2 powder for 2100fps.

458 Lott instead of 416 Rigby?

Back to look at this post... Great comments everyone., and the offers for axel to go try a rifle are awesome. Plenty of good advice.. some bigger guys can handle anything... and its technique. I used to have a 500Jeffery I had made by Sabi in RSA on a Vektor action, almost 11lb, and with a...

458 Lott instead of 416 Rigby?

I'm not a big chap, and only medium muscled. So a 404Jeffery or 416RM I find comfortable to shoot a few at sighting or practice.. and hunting no problem. So accuracy and shot placement is alway very good. The 416 Rigby cartridge I have use mostly, over 26 years, is fat and lots of powder and...

    1986 Land Cruiser Safari Truck

The 1957 Series 1 Land Rover pics I posted above.. is actually underneath all a 1991 Toyota Hilux., except for LR panels. About 9 years ago I bought a cheap dented Hilux twin cab petrol 4x4, took off all the body except for floor plan, firewall, inner guards and grill. Then I shortened the...
