My grandson turned 10 in January, we leave in 21 days for South Africa. My second trip his first. He started shooting squirrels at 6 with a 22. Took his first deer at age 7 with a 308. We shoot Wednesday evenings every week when the weather is decent. Honestly he will shoot better than me most days.
According to what I have been told ALL unfinished trophy’s have to go to USDA approve facility. If you have unfinished primates or swine they have to go in crate separate from all the rest.
Used Africa Sky in 2021, they did permits plus meet and greet. Keep in mind flight landed 4am local time. We were thru customs and SAP and on the road to camp by 4:30 - 4:45. Will be using Africa sky again in April.
I’m in Maine April will be second trip to SA. First trip we flew out of Logan on Qatar. No problems at all with rifles coming or going. Return trip was thru Philly so that was Port of Entry. No problems there either. Pretty painless. Next trip we will fly Qatar again departing and returning thru...
