Pulled bullet out to determine

I was target shooting using my 22 handgun (semi auto) I had numerous problems with ammo not firing. Gunsmith checked and said that there was no or very little priming compound in the 22 cartridge. I had initially thought my gun was the problem. Has anyone else had this issue ??

I have both - 338 and 25/06 Unfortunately I have trouble walking far now as I have bone degeneration in my hip
