We need to have 500 people call starline brass and norma to make brass and ammo for the 375 ruger amd 416 ruger .I just told hornady at the Dallas Safari show that they were the worse company about amandoning cartridges and their products were not even second rate .
Those are awrsome guns out of the custom shope .I do think they need a muzzlebreak i shot a friends 470 capstick and its a handful .Thats an aqesome gun .I wish i had bought the model 70 custom shop 358 shooting times alaskan i had in my hands in nevada .
I just bought one of the special edition sw model 29 made in honor of Elmer Keith that only took 50 years to get one .I almost got two of them same guy that died had two of them .Elmer Keith also helped Bill Ruger develop the ruger 1 and the Ruger 77 and the Ruger blackhawk .He helped Winchester...
I also shoot from a standing bench which helps .I put a 60 pound sandbag on top of a milk crate which is high enough for me to shoot standing off of .It even works better shooting my 338 win mag rifles too .
My hs stock on my rem 700 kicks less than any of my other 416s even my model 70 that's 9.5 pounds .I think the recoil goes on waves rather than. A solid jolt as on wooden stocks .I hope this Weatherby shoots as good as my other 416s .It has a Douglas barrel 24 inches .I hope to fix it up right...
I am down to only 4 416 rem mags use to have 8 .I am going to have to put better pads and muzzle break on a few of them so I can shoot them more .I use to shoot 125 to 150 times a day with them but ammo is way to high to even reload in mass quantity. I AM going to Try 375 weathetby brsss necked...
I bought a Weatherby mark v that was a 257 weatherby in a McMillian fiberglass stock that was converted to 416 rem mag .The person that had ot made asked Weatherby about changing it to 416 rem mag .I do wish it was stainless widh though to make it even better .I have had a bunch of 416 rem mags...
I use to shoot my 416 rem mags at least 125 to 150 times a day when I shot them .It was $20 to load a box of 20 with speer 350 grain bullets. I NOW can't handle the recoil like I use to but I bought a couple of 260 rem rifles. I HAVE buckets full of 308 brass and alot of .264 bullets .It's alot...
I. Just bought a bunch of 375 Weatherby notma brass to make into 416 rem mag brass .I HOPE it's WAY better than all the 416 Remington brass loaded through the years it's too thin IT looks like I can just neck the 375 Weatherby brass up to 416 rem mag brass and load it .I thought about...
I take kids hunting on youth hunts alot .I first let them use my 6.5 jap carbine for a while. THEN I finally got a 260 rem in a savage model 10 and it made clover leafs with lapua bullets. The kids and women that shot that rifle loved it .They didn't like the blast a 270 had and were afraid of it...
