Trip Insurance/Travel Insurance, Trip Cancelation, Medical Evacuation, Firearm/Gear and Trophy Coverage

I put a deposit on the hunt, bought plane tickets, and then later thought about insurance. Because it had been a few months by then, there was some coverage not available to me, I don't recall exactly what but it had to do with trip cancelation. If you have already booked, look into insurance...

Don't wait too long to buy it as you lose some options if you do.

My friend brought a 7prc and used factory 175 Terminal Ascent loads, he was rightfully pleased. Jackal to Kudu.

    PG Load Choice for 300H&H

I was very satisfied with the 200gr Terminal Ascent bullets fom my 300WM. The one I recovered looked like an ad, and had retained 93% weight.

35 Whelen recoil and terminal performance?

300WM does not kick much more to me than an -06. My 375 is pleasant to shoot but it's not light and it has a 1" limbsaver on it. If your son doesn't mind carrying a 375, the recoils is honestly not bad. More of a shove than a whack.

35 Whelen recoil and terminal performance?

I would not think twice about shooting an eland with a 338WM. I doubt many people would question it. My 338 shoots a 210gr TTSX at 2800fps. And recoil is easy, thx to the squishy factory savage pad.

    Bullet selection for plains game

My friend used a 7PRC with the 170 Terminal Ascent bullets in Namibia, it was great. I used a 300WM with 200 gr Terminal Ascents, worked great too. Other friend used an -06 with 168 TTSX and it worked great as well, all of us up to Wildebeest and Zebra. Two from the 168 TTSX was found on the...

    Interarms whitworth 375 H&H?

Have one, love it, accuracy is very good, it's a LR mauser so stocks should not be a problem.

    Safari Pants

Same here, worked great for 10 days in Namibia. Long-sleeve ripstop cotton shirts from Bass Pro. Perfect. No need for Tag.

4457 and serial # below the wood

Since you ask, it is one of The Finest Rifles available at the time, "actually made far better than is necessary” and “made with infinite care by our most expert old craftsmen.” It's a Herter's J9, a Yugoslavian-made mauser bolt action. I bought a stamp set. :)

4457 and serial # below the wood

Will CBP approve a Form 4457 for a rifle if the serial number is not visible? It is on the receiver, hidden by the stock. Can I remove the action, to show them? Anybody see this before?
