You’re handloads or Norma PH factory?
I load my own ammo so if you have load data I’m all ears.
I have some H4350 350gr RNSN HD test loads ready for when the rifle comes back from smith.
Good to know and thank you for the information, did you get the same point of impact with solids and soft 350gr?
Funny you should mention 175gr Aframe 7x57 I’ve been looking for a 7x57 specifically to try it with heavy bullets; been looking for M77 MKII stainless but no such luck.
I feel your pain, I had a Beretta Silver Pigeon 687 do the same thing; after taking the stock off, it was apparent that the inletting was poor and 10% of the metal was making contact at the tang.
@WAB - care to elaborate on the elephant and Woodleigh solid?
Body or head shots? Angles, known velocity? Factory or hand load?
I have some and thinking about using them in .375 for hippo and possibly tuskless.
Everyone raves about A Frames but I simply can’t get my hands on them and I’ve been trying for years.
Planning my second Safari for 2027 and it will be my first Cape buffalo hunt…
Primary weapon will be .470ne with 500gr Woodleigh Weldcores; back up rifle will be .375H&H with 350gr Woodleigh...
@mdwest - you can get adjustable helper springs that simply bolt on top of the factory springs and won’t affect ride/handling; also Bilstein shocks are a great addition and are the same shock that comes on the TRD package.
I decided to get a Tundra after seeing them in use as company trucks in...
Tim Sundles the owner of Buffalo Bore ammo had a video on this months ago where a man in Oklahoma sent him a video about buffalo bore factory ammo not chambering in his .416Ruger.
It was loaded with Hornady factory brass.
At the very least I will clean a new barrel/rifle before the first firing to take out any packing grease.
I used to clean down to bare metal after ever session, now I give my hunting rifles a good bore brush cleaning before sighting them in/confirming zero then shoot a few fowling rounds down...
@mrgreene ..... It would appear that the same company that @rookhawk suggested for brass also has 1 set of dies in stock!

For the dies I would check with CH4D - They are often 12-18months out on building a set of dies; however sometimes you can get lucky and they'll have a set on the shelf.
Take a 1" paintbrush with a narrow handle, it makes brushing that fine dust out of tight spots quick and easy.
If you can stop at a corner store before heading to camp, just pick up a small bottle of lighter fluid like you would use for a Zippo.
Mine came with the bushing, but you bring up a good point; you need the bushing regardless and there is something reassuring about having all calibers covered.
The only die I have that's not 1" is the Lee Factory crimp die for my .470ne.
I've got one that I've had ever since I bought my .470ne and love it, they don't have the fit and finish of an RCBS but their built hell for stout and get the job done.
