Yeah I think the 45-70 is my new go-to as well. Had been using it just for treed bears after my buddy with hounds lost a few dogs after someone shot a bear with a smaller caliber and the bear still had a little too much life in him when he hit the ground.

Haha, you aren’t kidding man! You guys have some tanks over there! Funnily enough I used my Henry 45-70 in Alberta last year, I know it’s overkill but the size is great when you’re in a tree stand.

I’ll hunt them around home in North Idaho but also heading back to Manitoba for the second year. The bears up there make our local boars seem tiny!

Tried a lot including Lowa tibets, kenetrek, and Solomon, but nothing fits my feet as well as crispi. I use their lapponia for Africa and flat-ish light pack terrain, the Nevada for moderate terrain, and the briksdal pro for alpine stuff when I need more ankle support and a stiffer sole...
