    8x68S owner's opinions

I also like and use Norma brass, though many here in the US regard RWS as the pinnacle of quality. Woodleigh should be back in production after the fire, and I love the weldcore bullets. South Africa has Stewart, and Claw bonded bullets that have great reviews, and would hopefully match the...

Gert, I know you are seeking a bullet made in South Africa, and I applaud your desire for a 220 gr. projectile. That said i would like to recommend the 220 gr. Woodleigh protected point listed in their catalogue for the .325 WSM. I shoot these in my 8x68 at 855.3 meters per second and load to...

    .340 Weatherby

I have a 9lb 8oz 338-8mm rem mag, (including scope). I get 2943 with a 225 gr TTSX at 15 feet from the muzzle with a 24" barrel. This has noticeable recoil, but not as bad as a custom 9 lb .404 I used to have. That rifle shot 400 gr bullets at 2344, and definitely smacked you off the bench...

I don't know if this will work, but I got the photos into a zip file. I guess you have to download the file and extract all to see the pictures. If this does not work I can try to find another way.

I will try. I don't have a camera or a cell phone, but maybe I can get someone here in Havre to help me out. It may be a few days

The 8x68 is my favorite carry rifle. I just me better than all of my other rifles. I is stocked in a style similar to a model 70 XTR with a very nice piece of Claro walnut. I have an old scopechief 6x with a post and crosshair reticle. With this rifle I even made a very difficult running...

    8x68S owner's opinions

I have lurked without posting for a long while. 8mms aren't popular in Montana, but I have two, both on M1917/P14 actions. Both are incredibly accurate. My 8x68 is loaded to 3.390" with the 220 gr woodleigh PP bullet. I have a 28" McGowen barrel on this, and get 2801 fps with 67.8 gr IMR...
