The little fellas can move pretty quick also.... this arrow is out of a longbow so it's a bit slower than that compounds (shoots about 160fps or so) but the bow is deathly silent.
This little Red Duiker, even with his head turned away from me moved and ducked at the shot....

Jim Babcock of Big Jim Bow Company (Google search) builds this bow in one piece then literally cuts it in half. It is a tang set-up so to speak with a carbon wrapped sleeve. Black Widow Bows and Cari-Bows of Canada also use this system. Jim sells all the materials necessary to build the sleeve...

The Duiker turned his head and I thought he turn more right than he did but it ended up a good quartering shot and a quick recovery...
The Impala was a tiny bit low but with his head down the arrow went through and protruded from his neck two trirds of the way up.

I totally agree with you Ken. Shoot a weight you can shoot well!! A well placed arrow with a cut on contact broadhead is deadly from a Traditional bow.
