I hunted with him in Niassa in 2024. It was a 21 day hunt where I shot lion, leopard, 3 buff and an array of plains game. Dave is a great PH and a lot fun to be around. He has actually become a good friend…you won’t regret booking with him.

Those are probably the 3 best concessions in Africa for huge buffalo genetics. The two areas in Tanzania are as expensive as it gets.
There are several hotels right there in the downtown area that are walking distance. You can also stay in Brentwood/Franklin and uber to the convention center.
Dave was kind enough to share pictures with me throughout his season. They conducted several hunts in Niassa this year. It seems like it is safe to go back hunting there again. I think some clients postponed their hunts because of what happened this year but those that chose to go did have...
I hunted Natron South earlier this year. Thomson’s and Grants were plentiful, but no Roberts in the area. It is one of the thicker areas of Massailand, so Gerenuk and Lesser kudu were seen throughout the entire concession, not just in certain areas.

Let’s say the question he is asking would be something akin to would you pay 5k for a 34-36 inch buff, 6.5 for 36-39.5, and 7500 for 40+? All in a free range area.
It could work in the hunters favor or against the hunter depending on budget and how well the ph is at judging the size of the buff.
