Burris scope, Filson pants, Herters 308 dies

It’s a small smorgasbord of stuff I need to get rid of. First is the Burris scope: Scout scope, 2-7x32. Has some minor surface scuffs but overall is in excellent condition. Glass is clear and bright, no mechanical issues. Rings are included. With the long eye relief I thought this would work...

What new Ruger would you like to see in a limited special run?

If you haven’t done so, listen to the Big Game Hunting podcast with Jason from Lipseys. He unveils a lot of their thinking, what limits they have in working with Ruger and future products. Three key messages from him: 1. With the introduction of their latest M77 Alaskan rifles in 35 Whelen and...

    Ruger No 1 Scope options

I went that route thinking it would be a simple solution. Bought a used Burris 2-7 scout scope. Great scope, wrong application. Turns out, too much eye relief is as much a problem as too little.

    Browning Love?

No, pre-64. Winchester was marketing their name on all sorts of non-firearm items well before 1964. According to your logic with Browning, once a company starts doing that, all of their firearms are worthless. Just curious if Winchester adds up the same or if this is your inherent bias against...

    Browning Love?

Interesting topic. Never shot a Browning rifle but they have always intrigued me, especially with plenty of left-hand offerings. I do have to wonder, do we have similar dislike for Winchester? Long before Browning did it, Winchester was slapping their logo onto everything. We can probably...

    Allure of the Ruger No1

As a proud owner of a #1 RSI I am only confounded by one thing, and that is the alignment of the stock with the scope. I think the rifle is designed around using open sights, which I’m a fan of, but the scopes have too many advantages to reject using them. So I have a scope on my RSI but when...
