I'm sure I will, they look really well designed. I put the Hogue X-frame grips on my 329 as well, and carry the same ammo in it. Stout but tolerable for a cylinder or two. Arguably the best backpacking guns ever made.

I agree with many of the above comments; .308 with quality bullets and good shot placement is more than adequate for elk. 7-08 will do it too, but is a touch light for my tastes. That said, I shot exactly one cow elk with a .243 when I was a kid and it worked just fine, but shot placement was...

I snagged it for my dad to take to Africa after buff next year. Think I'll find a set of 30mm rings and put on something with lume in the 1-8x range, to that end. Otherwise, leaving it as-is!
