I was picking my tired brain trying to remember the terminology you had used. Bolted safety, not stalking safety. It's a wonderful feature, particularly so as parts may wear and safeties may disengage more easily with time and use.

I shoot the 90 CX in my 6 creed. It is a good bullet. Hornady says it won't stabilize in anything less than a 1-8" twist. I've no idea what twist rates your rifle has, but most older rifles in the same diameter are rifled 1-10" or 1-12". The 80 grain CX is said to stabilize in a 1-10" twist.

I'm thinking of selling my Kimber of Oregon Model 89 "SuperAmerica" in .375 in the next month or two. I really like the rifle and will regret selling, but given that I have a vintage full custom .375 Ackley and a Lancaster .450 double in the safe, it most likely will not be returning to Africa...

I was unaware that Kimber of Oregon ever made a .416 Rigby. Congrats, that's a lot of gun for the money.

Looks to me like it's stamped "Cal .308" on the line above "Winchester" on the front receiver ring.
