    Handloading Automation

It reminds me of something.... by Rube Goldberg "Goldberg is best known for his popular cartoons depicting complicated gadgets performing simple tasks in indirect, convoluted ways." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg Cheers! Bob F. :)

    375 H&H loads

Brickman, I thought you might find this to be of interest. I have a reprint copy of the Kynoch / ICI catalog of 1936. The Kynoch catalog lists 285 gr ammo for the 9.3x62 at 2250 fps. I bet that old Kynoch load took a lot of game in Africa back in the day. So, I'd say your .375 H&H load with a...

Your opinion why the 7x57 Mauser flourished and the .275 H&H faded

I thought this might be of interest: .275 Belted Magnum (H&H) | .275 Flanged Magnum (H&H) Introduced in England in 1911, the belted version for bolt actions and the flanged for single-shot and double-barrel rifles, the .275 H&H Belted and Flanged Magnums were the first 7mm Magnums. These...

    5.7x28 anyone use one?

See post #21 above. The OP purchased a Keystone Cricket rifle in .22 Magnum. https://keystonesportingarmsllc.com/ Remember, the rifle is for use around the slaughter house. The range needed won't be anywhere near 100 meters or yards. Cheers! Bob F. :)

Hornady 162gn round nose bullet in the 6.5 X55 Swedish Mauser caliber

Just a note: The Hornady 6.5mm .264" 160 gr InterLock RN bullet is NOT a bonded core bullet. Cheers! Bob F. :)

    5.7x28 anyone use one?

For those that may not be aware of the Stowaway (I wasn't). And remember, the OP is asking about for use around the slaughter house; not for hunting or self defense. And, since the OP resides in Canada, I'm assuming that handguns are not on the menu of choices. Cheers! Bob F. Stowaway Series...

Hornady 162gn round nose bullet in the 6.5 X55 Swedish Mauser caliber

Gert, While it doesn't list any data for Somchem powders, here's Hornady's load data for their 160 gr RN bullet. I thought you could at least use it for comparative purposes. And, it does list the ballistic coefficient (G1 B.C.) of the bullet. Cheers! Bob F. :)

Am I the only one that does not like the way these new toy looking rifles look ?

What's your favorite cartridge for hunting Africa? Up to 2 choices.

My votes: .30-06 and 9.3x62. (I've never hunted dangerous game.) With an honorable mention to the 8x57JS. I think it pairs very well with the 9.3x62. Cheers! Bob F.

Classic plains game rifles and cartridges
