In 3 trips to South Africa, I've never been checked in any way. Two of the PH's wanted to see me shoot, but only at 20 yards. The last PH told us where the range was and we were welcome to shoot if we cared to, but he didn't even watch us. Best of luck on your trip.

Welcome, Synergy. While I'm not nearly as experienced as many others, I have been fortunate enough to make 3 trips and collect a few critters. I have had passthrues on animals such as Kudu, Waterbuk, and Zebra with a lesser set-up than yours. In fact, the Zebra shot was with a bow at 56 pounds...

I don't have any plans at this time, but I'd surely like to go back in the next few years. If/when I do, you can be sure Limcroma will the outfit anyone else would have to beat. My next big hunt will likely be New Zealand, but no firm plans for that either.

Congratulations on a great trip, and some excellent shooting. I'm particularly fond of the unicorn.

Is it ethical? Surely can be, but it depends on the hunter/PH combination (probably the most important aspect). Given the proper combo, there will be the proper equipment, skills, shooting ability, and dedication to getting it right the first time. I've never hunted the big dangerous stuff...

I don't have enough experience to know for sure, but I think a true trophy Warthog is as difficult as a true trophy Kudu.
