Hey guys I'm looking at the Leupold SX4 pro guide spotters but I'm not sure which size. Honestly it'll mostly be used in the range since down here I'll almost never have use for it in the field but I do plan to get in on a pronghorn hunt in the next couple of years and hopefully a Muley. So...
I have the VX5 2x10 as well and love it but if you want to be able to use a true "dangerous game" 1x scope as well you can use Alaska Arms mounts and put his rings on a 1x5 to quickly swap glass and keep same poi.
No personal experience myself but when I talked to my PH his favorite for them was the 243 (apparently you can solids for it?) or solids in the 375. I agree that the 222 or 223 would be fun and the 223 had a lot of bullet options. How you have a great hunt!
I was told by a salesman at my lgs (so take it as you will) to not use Holosun on my 460 revolver cause of recoil so I would think it's not gonna tolerate a 416 either
If you cut to the same barrel length they'll be the same thing other than finish and stock material so balance should be comparable. Idk what the problem is with the African though, I love mine and it handles great. My Ruger Hawkeye African in 416 is noticeably front heavy but not my M70. What...
While I don't agree with all the stories of massive recoil from the Mark V everything you hear about the muzzle blast is dead on. Muzzle blast is flat out insane, worse I've ever heard. My first shot i was excited and forgot my ear plugs in my pocket and I wasn't sure if it had ruptured my left...
Thank you sir, now you see why I was oogling that stock when she asked what I was looking at. I've wanted a Mark V for years but couldn't justify one. (Really wish they would make a satin finish an option though)
Well I started out looking at the VX5 1x5 but the VX3 has a bit more eye relief and I think it was a little lighter. I plan on talking to Leupold before buying one and see if the VX3 series can hold up. The VX5 is 28mm objective over the VX3's 24mm but idk if 4 mm is enough to matter in low...
Yep that's exactly what I got, beautiful stock and blue steel and with a surprisingly good trigger. I did see that the 460 is legally approved for hunting whales lol not sure I'll ever be going that route though. I'll try and get some good enough pics tomorrow but I'd like to be able to upload...
I don't have a decent photo yet but here's my 3 shots. Forgive my "form" my 416 is the worse kicker I've shot until now. The first shot i was excited and forgot my ear plugs and my God that sucked!
Ok for some reason it won't post my video
