Lucky you. my Spanish Roe Deer hunt did not go so well.
The guide just drove around in the car on public roads and wanted me to shoot animals out the car window. ( off a public road I might add) After a day of this I told them to take me home.
Very dissapointing. They seem bewildered that...
i also wonder what happened to my tipping money. On at least two of my hunts the money went to the outfitter and he said he would distribute the funds to the staff accordingly. I do wonder if they saw any of that money, or if the outfitter pocketed all of it.
What are people's views on tipping in countries where Tipping is not customary. NZ and Australia for example?
We hosted a Russian just recently for a Buffalo hunt and he didn't tip at all. He didn't give us any feedback good or bad so it left me wondering, did he just believe we dont tip in...
They are an impressive Trophy and the Norhern Territory is a really interesting part of Australia with very good salt water fishing and wild boar opportunities also.
The point I was trying to make is that there does not seem to be an abundant number of good outfitters for Kyrgyistan and having a bad experience is the norm not the exception.
To clarify, my extortion comments were more aimed at the Outfitter who charged us to get our rifles back after they were confiscated at the airport. This was because the Outfitter made a mistake with the dates on our licences. These expired the day before we were due to fly out. Instead of just...
I feel it is a fairly bold statement, just to say, " Find a good Booking agent and go"
Even if the booking agent has good intentions, They are still using a hunting guiding operation in Kyrgyistan and I dont know of a single such entity that has a good reputation. Believe me i have spent many...
I'm heading to fiji around August 2025 for a holiday with my wife. I'm going to take along a 4 piece heavy popping rod and a good selection of lures.
Can anyone suggest a resort that has a break wall or good rock fishing where i can target pelagics? I dont mind casting for hours for the chance...
I would suggest a Marco Polo hunt would be a big dissapointment with regard to the aspects of the hunt.
Charging around in a 4WD in an attempt to cut off some rams, piling out of the car and being told to take 700 meter shots at running animals off the bonnet off a Russian Jeep, all while the...
There is an Outfitter in Australia, he's a fringe famous Bow Hunter, I booked based on his reputation of being a famous Bow Hunter rather than an Outfitter. People in Australia will know who he is.
Since I did my trip I have heard the same thing from other hunters who have used him. Lots of more...
