168g is more than enough. I used 160gr Barnes TSX all-copper bullets and they proved devastating on everything from impala to zebra and kudu. Bullet construction is (in my opinion) the most important consideration.

I shoot 160gr Barnes TSX loaded in Federal Premium. Hits HARD. At one point my PH jokingly said he'd consider using it for buffalo. Had full pass through on every animal.
